This is an annual publication of our philatelic society aiming to promote Hong Kong philately around the world. First published in 1997, each Journal contains illustrated articles mostly on Hong Kong philatelic subjects written by knowledgeable collectors mostly in English and some in Chinese. The A4 size Journal is softbound and printed in monochrome with some colour plates. Journal 1 & 2 won a Silver medal in the Literature Class at Singpex 1998 FIAP Stamp Exhibition and awarded the Webb Cup by the Hong Kong Study Circle (U.K.) for an outstanding publication related to Hong Kong philately in 2003. Journal 9 also won a Silver Bronze medal at the 9th NZ National Philatelic Literature Exhibition in 2005 and Journal 10 was awarded a Silver medal in the Literature Class at the Dubai 2006 19th FIAP Asian International Exhibition. In 2011, our Philatelic Society’s 90th anniversary, the long out of stock Journal 1 was revamped and published as the 90th anniversary edition in June 2011. Journal 16 – the 150th anniversary of Hong Kong stamps special, scheduled for March 2012 will be in full colour. The Christoph Gärtner (CG) Award is a philatelic literature competition dedicated to promotion of Philately; Journal 17 came fifth and Journal 19 came sixth.
